The Chief Electronics Officer will report directly to the CTO European Divisions, in Intuis or GDHV/GDD depending on the successful candidate, but with the preference and recruitment activity in Intuis.
The primary objective for a new Chief Electronics Officer is to foster technology alignment and create a central governance Electronics organisation across the existing GDHV and Intuis R&D centres of competence.
The Chief Electronics Officer will lead the Electronics hardware and software technology and innovation strategy and roadmap for all in-house, OEM and ODM PCBA design & development and component architecture selection. The Chief Electronics Officer will work closely with the procurement category managers for electronics to benchmark and develop the PCBA supplier strategy and selection processes for each platform. The Chief Electronics Officer internal customers will be the product application teams to fulfil their statement of requirements on time and in full. Best in class PCBA development and reliability validation processes should be in place, working closely with Quality on supplier development and in-house testing.
The Chief Electronics Officer will work closely with the CTO and CPRO to integrate the Electronics technology roadmap into the overall European product roadmap. The Chief Electronics Officer will be required to implement a new electronics organisation and governance structure that optimises local product requirements with European platform architecture to achieve a balance of local agility and global competitiveness. To ensure our business is commercially and competitively focused the Chief Electronics Officer will be required to lead benchmarking of total cost of ownership, comparing product costs and OPEX costs and to achieve year on year VAVE improvements.
